Slip Ups - You’re Only Human

Let's face it - it's almost impossible to stay on any diet or eating plan for an extended period of time and not slip up, and eat something you know you shouldn't. It's normal, and it's not the end of the world. But if you're serious about reaching your goal weight, here are a few tips for what to do if you slip up:

  1. If you slip up, don't beat yourself up about it. It's what you do after you've slipped up that makes all the difference. The sooner you get back onto the Celebrity Slim Program, the sooner you will go back to controlling your weight.
  2. If you overindulge, recognise you have, and then get back on track as quickly as you can. Statistics show that if you delay going back on your diet for longer than 3 or 4 days, you are more likely to abandon your diet altogether, and gain back all of the weight you have lost.
  3. Some people feel overly guilty if they slip up and resort to extremes like fasting or severe exercise regimes to make up for their indiscretions. You definitely don't need to do this, but a little more exercise and making sure your diet is "spot on" for a few days will certainly help.
  4. The golden rule is to try not to let it happen too often. If you can stay on track 95% of the time, you will achieve great results.

Yes absolutely. If you fall off the diet wagon just get back on the horse STRAIGHT AWAY. I used to fast alll the time or over exercise like crazy when i slipped up and it only led to MORE slip ups because I was fasting and obviously i would get hungry! and tired from all the over exercising! But now i always go back to my healthy eating plan as soon as i slip up and i HARDLY put on any weight. Maybe what 100-200 grams? My 'slip ups' when they happen are pretty big though. So that's good. I do exercise a little more but not heaps like i used to. Never try to make up for your slip ups. NEVER works.
